Ready to play in the snow!

Sam was not sure about the snow at all. He kept getting frustrated that the snow balls would stick to his glove.

This reminded me of
Riley's first snow!

So of course Sam and I joined in!

Riley, my little competitor, was running around making and throwing snowballs like crazy!

Making a snowball...

Sneaking up on Corban. Bless his heart, he was asking if my kids could play in the snow since early that morning when it was still raining! He makes us laugh. So as soon as the snow started up the kids all ran outside and played together. They were having a blast!

Sam finally started warming up to the snow, so to speak.

I have a feeling Ryne got clobbered right after this photo.

She was gathering snow everywhere that she could!

Ryne's little snowman. He didn't live much past this picture because an innocent by standard thought it was a large snowball...

He didn't know what to think!

After each of the kids decided that the warmth from inside was a lot more fun... They headed inside. I was trying to keep them warm so they snuggled in "Daddy's Chair" with Daddy's "Special Blanket". They felt really special.

Our snow clothes pile.

Later Riley and Sam discovered that they liked watching the snow from the comfort of inside much better :) haha

I am always excited when snow actually falls and sticks around here. Because it doesn't happen real often it is a real treat, at first. It doesn't take long for the new to wear off and for me to want warmer weather! I have a new respect for people who have to scrape off and defrost their cars way in advance of leaving for the day! I was suprised to see that each morning this week there has continued to be a little snow left. There is just a little bit today, but I have a feeling that tomorrow the sun will take away all the last little bits of snow left behind.
